A MUN press release has a headline, a dateline, a lead paragraph answering the 4Ws + 1H, one or two body paragraphs with a quote, a closing boilerplate and a contact line, written in third person and kept under one page.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [HEADLINE: active verb, names the action] [COMMITTEE], [Day N]: The delegation of [Country/Party] announced [action] today, [reason]. [One or two sentences of supporting detail.] "[Quote from the delegate or portfolio]," said [name/title]. About [Country/Party]: [one-sentence description]. Contact: [Delegation], [Committee]
In a crisis room a press release is an in-simulation action. It must stay within your portfolio's powers and be consistent with earlier directives, otherwise the Crisis Director can rule it out of order. Conventions differ between conferences, so check your committee's instructions.
The inaugural Delhi MUN was held on 8–9 August 2026 in New Delhi. The next edition will be announced soon.
